TRC supports the North West Recovery Walk Today

TRC is supporting this wonderful event, many of the women we support are on their own personal 'recovery journey'. This is the day to CELEBRATE and promote RECOVERY!

Please join us today!

Trafford Recovery Forum supported by Trafford Council have organised the North West Substance Recovery Walk and Celebration, this event will take place TODAY Saturday, 15 September 2012 at Longford Park and Longford Park Athletics Club, Stretford M21 9TA (3pm-7pm)

The athletics track will be the focus for the day's main event, the celebration walk. With around 1500 people either in recovery from substance misuse, currently recovering or supporting someone expected to walk the track, it promises to be an extremely emotional and symbolic celebration for everyone involved.

There will be entertainment for all the family. Afternoon highlights include the official launch of Trafford Recovery Forum, a live satellite link to Hartford, Connecticut, USA to join their 12th Recovery Walk, live bands such as Tom Hingley and The Lovers, Raucous Caucus Recovery Choir, Steel Bands will be there and many more. There will be food, information stalls, Holistic Therapies, Yoga, Artwork and a Recovery Wall. For the children there will be face painting, circus skills, penalty shoot-out, bouncy castle and goodie bags in fact something for everyone.

TRC will have a stall near the car park end of  Longford Park selling organic soaps and handmade cards made by women at our drop in. Children can stop by and make a FREE gift card for someone.
